Genia Engelstad

Genia has worked in the escrow profession since 1979 and has performed every duty in the escrow industry, from receptionist to Escrow Officer. Her vast experience has given her a well-rounded view of escrow and the best way to serve clients. She excels at pulling all the details together to successfully close escrow and satisfy clients.   

Genia maintains her Escrow Officer designation while supervising the company’s three offices. She oversees the daily activities of the escrow teams and enjoys working hands on with them get their transactions closed smoothly and accurately. Her greatest strength to the teams is her leadership and thorough teaching of proper escrow procedures.

Genia’s philosophy is to treat the employees of Elite Escrow like they are family.

With education and experience being the driving force behind Elite’s success, Genia continues her education, keeping up with the latest trends and legislation affecting the real estate industry through the Escrow Institute of California, the California Escrow Association, and committees within the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI). Her resume includes:

  • Past president of the Escrow Institute of California and a current board member.

  • Past president of the San Diego County Escrow Association and a current board member.

  • Past board member of the California Escrow Association.

  • Past AEA Director of the American Escrow Association, representing California on a national level.

Genia has been married to her husband, Jack, since 1978. Together, they enjoy four-wheeling, camping, traveling, and attending Padres games.
